Aura Wave Wellness (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy and processes personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA). This policy explains what we collect through this website and at the practice, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

  • Details you send through our booking request form: your name, phone number, email address (optional), the treatment and times you prefer, and anything you choose to tell us.
  • Your Session Finder choices, if you send them to us with a booking request.
  • Basic technical information such as your IP address and browser type, used to keep the website secure and to stop spam.

Health information

Information about your health is special personal information under POPIA. We ask you not to send detailed medical information through this website. At your first visit we may ask about your health so that we can treat you safely; we use it only for your care, keep it confidential and process it with your consent.

Why we use it

  • To reply to your request, book and confirm your sessions, and send reminders.
  • To provide your treatments safely.
  • To keep records required by law.

We do not sell your information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the practice and this website (for example our online booking provider, hosting and email), and only as far as they need it.

How long we keep it

We keep booking requests for as long as needed to respond and follow up, and client records for as long as the law requires. You can ask us to delete your information at any time, unless we must keep it by law.

Your rights

Under POPIA you may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to its use. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (inforegulator.org.za).

Cookies

This website uses only essential cookies needed for it to work. Online booking happens on Fresha, which has its own privacy policy. If we add analytics or advertising cookies, this page will be updated to explain them.
